Aarhus Basketball Festival is the traditional tournament that takes place during the holidays of Easter every year at the home of Skovbakken Bears, Vejlby-Risskov Hallen and the surrounding schools and gyms. 2023 saw a record 135 teams and around 1.400 participants. We hope to see all of you again in 2024. 

The 2024 edition is scheduled for March 27-30 2024. The festival starts on Wednesday at 17.00 and ends on Saturday at 16.00.

It's the 21st time that Skovbakken Bears Basketball is hosting the Aarhus Basketball Festival, with only 2020 and 2021 being cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Skovbakken Bears Basketball

Aarhus Basketball Forening was established in 1953 and became a part of Idrætsklubben Skovbakken in 1962 under the name Skovbakken Basket. Idrætsklubben Skovbakken has 14 different sports. Skovbakken Basketball's 1st men's team has since 1999 been playing under the name; Bakken Bears, and is the winningest men's team in Danish basketball history. 

Bears Academy is the talent development organisation that currently participates in Mens Basketligaen, Mens U19-Liga and Mens U17-Liga.
